2021 Annual Initiation Ceremony
Michigan State University's Chapter 041 Annual Initiation and Awards Ceremony was scheduled for Thursday, April 8th, 2021. The event marked the Chapter's 94th year at MSU. Due to COVID the event was scheduled virtually, and was cancelled due to the low registration numbers.
2020 Love of Learning Award Recipient
Joel Berends, Graduate Assistant in the College of Education received a 2020 Love of Learning award from the National Phi Kappa Phi Office.
Stafford honored with Woman of Achievement Award
Jeanne Stafford, of Gladstone, Michigan, was presented the Woman of Achievement Award by The Beta Sigma Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) Society International. This award is given to members who have made outstanding contributions to their chapter. Stafford obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Michigan State University and was a inducted into the MSU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi in 1970.
2020 Annual Ceremony Cancellation
As you likely know, MSU has taken steps to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. Out of concern for the health and welfare of our initiates, award recipients, members, guests, and their families and friends, the MSU Chapter is canceling its Annual Initiation and Awards Ceremony, previously scheduled for March 28th, 2020 and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts. The Chapter will send members the certificates, keys, and awards they would have otherwise received at the Ceremony. We apologize for any inconvenience.
2019 Study Abroad Grant Recipient
This year, a junior at Michigan State University, Layla Brooks, was selected as a recipient of the 2019 Study Abroad Grant. She is using the funds to study abroad in Malawi where she will work at an NGO, Center for Civil Society.
